In today’s episode, my colleague, Dr. Yashar Khosroshahi, ND from the Entrepology Performance Labs is joining me today! We’re going to be talking about the benefits of self-compassion, what it actually means, and how to truly begin to engage in it.

So many of us have this dialogue in our heads that self-compassion is something that will slow us down. If any part of you feels like, “Ugh, I don’t have time to go there,” or, “It’s not for me,” when I mention self-compassion — let me tell you this: this podcast has been created entirely for you. The thing about self-compassion is that it’s an act of leadership — not only to yourself; but towards your team, your family, and all those you influence. In fact, moving to that next level of your life will require that how you engage in self-compassion starts to change.

Self-compassion is not pouring a glass of wine at the end of the day, self-compassion is not (necessarily) having a bubble bath or getting your nails done; self-compassion is about the way that you speak to yourself. And I cannot think of anyone better than Dr. Yashar Khosroshahi to take us through the neuroscience of self-compassion today!

CALL TO ACTION

Dr. K. challenges you to think about the one area in your life where you feel you have some form of expertise around. Ask yourself, “How good was I the day I started?” The only reason why you are where you are today is that you kept showing up through the challenges and stayed connected to the reasons why you wanted to do the work. Building mindset muscles is the same thing — we all have to start somewhere. Let us know how you are starting today and follow up on The Entrepology Podcast Facebook page — because when you are accountable, you are helpable!
